VSA are delighted to be working with local fundraiser Cathy Clark. Cathy has been an incredible supporter of our Changing Lives Mental Health campaign, in tribute to her son Murphy.
Cathy explains, “We lost Murph to various MH issues 3 years ago. Last year, as part of my grieving process, I raised money for VSA’s Changing Lives programme and Abergeldie House. Murphy loved to cook and shared his talents with many. Having a tea towel made from one of his drawings was one of my happiest efforts last year. Tea towels are not only useful for drying dishes but can be an environmentally friendly way of gift wrapping! I’ve given and received many tea towels over the years; every time I use them, I remember a friend!"
Income raised from the sale of each tea towel will directly support VSA's Changing Lives campaign, featuring the opening of a new 20 bedroom mental health facility in Aberdeen. Our state of the art facility, located on Abergeldie Road, will support adults on their journey to recovery.

With our new facility set to open later this year, Cathy and VSA are proud to announce that the kitchen will be named "Murphy's Kitchen", featuring Murphy's artwork displayed within the lounge area of the facility.
