About VSA

VSA is a leading charity with a proud 155-year history of supporting vulnerable children and adults across the north-east of Scotland. At VSA, our mission is to deliver the best of care so that people can live the best of lives. From residential services and mental health support to education and community outreach, our portfolio of care touches the lives of thousands every year.

As part of our exciting transformation programme, we’re proud to be developing Easter Anguston Farm into a truly unique community destination – by the community, with the community, for the community.

Nestled within 90 acres of stunning countryside, this heritage site has already benefited from over £500,000 of investment, including the development of state-of-the-art children’s play areas, improved visitor amenities, and a beautiful café. Now we’re inviting people like you – who are community-minded, nature-loving, people-friendly and commercially aware – to join us in bringing the farm to life for visitors of all ages.

Easter Anguston Farm is not just a place to visit – it’s a place to connect, to recharge, and to contribute to something truly special. We’re creating a safe, welcoming space where families, individuals, and groups can come together and experience the therapeutic power of nature, animals, and shared community activity – in all weathers, all year round.

We’re looking for a team of dedicated volunteers to help us make our vision a reality!

Based within the Farm Shop, you’ll work with our VSA staff to ensure each visitor receives a friendly, helpful and welcoming retail experience. Alongside processing payments and restocking products, we’ll make sure you’re equipped with the knowledge to answer any queries about the farm, and of upcoming events that will make our visitors want to return again and again!

During off-peak times, while the shop is quieter, you’ll also be offered the opportunity to help VSA research and develop future activities and events for the farm, to help make it an all-year-round attraction.

This role is an excellent opportunity to give back to your community and be part of something meaningful – all while enjoying the fresh air and beauty of our farm. Whether you can give a few hours a week or more, we’d love to hear from you. We’ll provide any training you need, and you’ll be joining a supportive, fun and values-led team.

If you are interested in applying or finding out more, please email our Customer Service Team Leader Jackie Craig: jackie.craig@vsa.org,uk. She will be happy to talk through what’s involved and ensure that this is the right volunteer role for you.
