The new trustees are:

Dr. Rajan Gupta - a local GP and educational supervisor with over 20 years’ of experience working for the NHS.

Zoe Yuill - Consulting Partner at Green Arch Consulting specialising in the integration of sustainability, ESG and Net Zero principles into business strategy and operations.

Emeritus Professor Liz Hancock FCSP, MSc, PG Dip, Cert Ed, Dip TP - Retired in 2021 from the role of Vice Principal for Academic Development and Student Experience at Robert Gordon University, Liz has years of experience of working at strategic leadership level across both education and health and social care.

Kevin Shand, Chair of the Board at VSA said: “We are delighted to welcome Zoe, Rajan, and Liz to our Board of Trustees. Each new member has valuable skills and experience, as well as sharing our passion for enhancing lives and making a positive impact on people living in our communities. The issues faced by the care sector are well documented. The next few years will require our board to meet these challenges to ensure VSA continues to support people in Aberdeen and the North East. We would welcome approaches from anyone who believes they have the imagination, knowledge, and dedication to help us achieve our goals as a member of our board.”

Talking of her appointment Zoe Yuill says: “As a newly appointed Trustee, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support the organisation's mission and impact as VSA continues to respond to the changing needs of the local community. I am particularly passionate about VSA’s work with Children and Families, as I believe that all children, regardless of need, should be given the right support in order to realise their potential and lead happy and healthy lives.”

Kevin concludes, “I thank all members of the Board of Trustees who are volunteers and dedicate their time, experience, and professional expertise to help govern and lead VSA. This vital support enables us to drive VSA forward and continue to enhance the lives of individuals in Aberdeen and beyond, supporting the most vulnerable people on our doorstep.”
