An Open Letter to the First Minister

VSA have joined over 200 third sector health and social care leaders in signing an open letter to the First Minister calling for immediate steps to address the current crisis threatening our sector.

The letter, led by CPPS - Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland and Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland, makes four key asks of the Scottish Government:

  1. An immediate, substantial cash injection in the upcoming Spending Review, including full cost recovery for employer National Insurance increases.
  2. A medium-term fully-funded recovery plan for the sector, to address decades of underinvestment.
  3. Multi-year funding agreements adjusted for inflation, to ensure stability for organisations.
  4. A firm commitment to fully include the sector in planning and decision-making.

We stand with our Care colleagues to strive for a better future. Visit ccpscotland.org/ for further details.
