As part of our learning disability services, we offer trainee adult day placements at our Easter Anguston Farm facility.
Many adults living with a learning disability want the opportunity to have a job. People living with a learning disability can make excellent employees as long as they are given the correct support.
Securing employment, work experience or an apprenticeship is really important. It can help develop confidence and social skills while making the person feel valued and respected; helping them to lead independent and fulfilled lives.
Trainees on our day placement programme have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and gain valuable work experience while working towards an accredited SVQ. Our aim is that our trainees are given the skills, experience and opportunity to secure permanent or part time employment within the local community.
