CURRENTLY STILL CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC
Easter Anguston Farm- aiming to reopen in the Autumn.
Dear Friend of Easter Anguston Farm,
We are delighted to announce that we are busy preparing to re-open the farm in the autumn. At VSA, our top priority is the health and wellbeing of the people we care for and our staff team. This includes the vulnerable children at Linn Moor School and the vulnerable adult trainees we support at Easter Anguston Farm.
In late-phase two and over the course of phase three our aim is to support our adult trainees returning to the farm; our trainees like thousands of other people across the UK, have experienced a significant period of time away from the farm environment. Over the summer our core priority is to safely re-introduce the trainees back to their learning and development programmes at the farm.
This will involve, as a result of COVID social distancing measures, some adaptations to the way in which our trainees have been used to working. Our trainees and staff will need time to adjust to this new way of operating, and with this in mind we have decided that we will be aiming for a re-opening of the farm to the public at some point during September.
Naturally, this re-opening date could be subject to change depending on the on-going risk as a result of COVID-19. Our team is busy planning for an autumn re-opening and we look forward to sharing with you later this summer our re-opening plans and programme of autumn activities.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our appeal to date.
Our staff, trainees, animals and our fairies who live in our enchanted woods can’t wait to welcome you back.
Your support and understanding is greatly appreciated.
Team VSA
