Support Worker (Part-Time Night) - Crosby House

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker (Nights) post (24 hrs per week) at our Crosby House  on a permanent part-time basis. Joining our dynamic team, you will provide a professional, caring and effective service to our service users to ensure they receive the best of care. 

Any prior experience would be welcome but is not essential however you must be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare if you do not already hold one. This post will involve working 2 nights a week  from 9:45 PM until 7:45 Am on a rota basis.

Support Worker -Adult and Community Services (Peripatetic)

VSA are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to work within our Adult  and Community Services, working across all our homes. You will join our dedicated teams of Support Workers, providing a professional, caring and effective service to those within our care. 

Working 39 hours full time 5 days from 7 working days across all Adult and Community services predominantly Older people services, mixture of late and early shifts including weekends.

Any prior experience of working with older adults or adults  with mental health problems and learning difficulties would be welcome but is not essential as full on the job training will be provided. You must however be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare if you do not already hold one.

Team Leader - Westerton

Are you an experienced social care professional looking for career progression? This could be the opportunity for you.

VSA's Westerton Crescent service was opened in February 1995. It is purpose-built to provide accommodation for nine adults with a history of severe and enduring mental health problems. They may also have a physical disability and require daily support from the staff team to motivate, empower and promote their self-esteem, while maintaining as much of their independence as possible.  As we strive to continue to provide the best of care to our residents we are now seeking a Team Leader to join our dynamic team.

This is a key role within the service where you will co-ordinate and contribute to the provision of an effective and professional service to meet the needs of our service users whilst monitoring the effective use of staffing resources. To be considered, you should possess an SCQF Level 7 in Social Services and Healthcare (or other comparable qualification). You will have previous experience in the provision of care and of co-ordinating activities within the workplace. In addition, you will have a working knowledge of the SSSC Codes of Practice, have the ability to work on your own initiative and be a good communicator and organiser. You will work to a rolling rota over 7 days which will include a mixture of early shifts, late shifts and weekends.

Waking Nights - Support Worker - Craigton Grove

Are you looking to be part of a team providing the highest standard of support for adults with learning disabilities, as well as attain a qualification during employment with career progression opportunities?

VSA Craigton Grove and associated housing is a Housing Support/Care at Home service for adults with learning disabilities.

Our team of dedicated care staff at the service help to ensure the tenants receive the best of care and we are currently looking to add to our team.  As a Support Worker in the service, the successful person will work to a rota basis over 7 days,  Shift hours:10pm -8am.

Farm Support Worker (Relief) - Easter Anguston Farm (Peterculter)

VSA are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Relief Support Workers to join our dedicated team at Easter Anguston Farm.

Easter Anguston is an operational farm which serves as a training facility for adults with learning difficulties and other additional support needs. Situated just west of Peterculter, it comprises 70 acres of arable land, used as a working farm, plus 20 acres of woodland.

Easter Anguston aims to provide meaningful and individualised training placements to adults with learning difficulties and other additional support needs. Trainees are supported by a skilled and experienced staff team to learn and to develop their knowledge and understanding of working in an agricultural and retail setting.

Strong emphasis is placed on developing personal, social, vocational, and land-based skills. Trainees work towards certificates in various areas including horticulture, livestock, arable farming, rural skills, catering, conservation and readiness for employment. Each trainee has a person-centred, outcome-focused training support plan which is collaboratively written and reviewed with a dedicated key worker.

As a relief worker you will work alonside a dedicated team to provide support to trainees to achieve specific outcomes while they are learning and working on the farm.  Any prior experience of working with adults with learning difficulties would be welcome but is not essential as full on the job training will be provided.  A genuine passion for caring for others is essential as we strive to change lives of those within our care.

Support Worker (Part-time) - Northfield Lodge

VSA's Northfield Lodge, is a two storey property set in its own grounds in the Northfield area of the city, providing long-term residential placements for individuals with on-going and enduring mental health problems.  The service provides 24-hour support to 18 service users and each has their own room.  The main aim of the service is to promote independence and this is achieved by providing person-centred support based on each individual’s needs and requirements.

We currently require a part-time Support Worker (28 hours per week) to join our dedicated team of support staff who work tirelessly to deliver the best of care to those within the service.  In this rewarding role, you will provide a professional, caring and effective service to our service users.  You will be part of a 4 week rolling rota, with an average of one sleep-in per week and an equal mix of early & late shifts. You will also be expected to work alternate weekends.  Any prior experience would be welcome but is not essential as full on the job training will be provided.  You must however be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) if you do not already hold one.
