Residential Care and Education Support Worker - Linn Moor Campus (Peterculter)

Linn Moor Campus is a unique multi-generational approach to community-based care for individuals with learning disabilities and other additional support needs, in a residential setting. The campus its self is situated on beautiful grounds allowing our service users the freedom to enjoy the outdoors. With UK wide recognition for our pioneering work with people with autism, our focus is on the development of meaningful life skills and personal fulfilment for the children and young adults we support. If successful you would be joining a large team of enthusiastic support workers with a wealth of experience from all different backgrounds.

As a Support Worker you will work to a 4 week rolling rota where you will be required to work a variety of shifts including early/evening and weekend shifts.

Working across both the Education and Care services at our Linn Moor Campus, you will help to provide a quality service to meet the needs of our students with additional support needs. An SCQF Level 7 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) and an HNC in Social Care would be beneficial but it is not essential at this stage (although you must be willing to work towards this or the Level 9 Residential Childcare Qualification). Ideally you should have some experience of working with children and/or young adults with autism / learning difficulties and have the ability to engage/relate to them through effective communication skills and the ability to deal with complex and challenging behaviour. You must be willing to work flexibly in both care and education settings, recognising that a different skill set is required and appropriate in each to support the child/young person in their physical, psychological and emotional development.

Team Leader, Crosby House (Full-Time)

In this challenging and rewarding post, you will co-ordinate and contribute to the provision of an effective and professional service to meet the needs of those using our services whilst monitoring the effective use of staffing resources.

To be considered, you must hold an SCQF Level 6 in Health and Social Care and be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 7 along with a Professional Development Award in Supervision, if you do not already hold it.  You will have previous experience in the provision of care and of co-ordinating activities within the workplace and a genuine enthusiasm to help enhance the lives of our residents.  In addition, you will have a working knowledge of the SSSC Codes of Practice, have the ability to work on your own initiative and be a good communicator and organiser.  You will work to a rolling rota over 7 days which will include a mixture of early shifts, late shifts and weekends as well as sleepovers, also on a rota basis, for which an allowance is paid.

Catering Assistant, Cloverfield Grove

Based in the north of the city, Cloverfield Grove offers 40 flats, including four double flats. We have strong links with the local community. Tenants and their guests are encouraged to utilise our large enclosed garden.

We Currently require a Full-Time Catering Assistant to work for 38.5 hours per week at our Cloverfield Grove where you will provide support and assistance in the kitchen and dining room and carry out some basic housekeeping tasks. You should have some basic food preparation skills, a keen eye for detail and be comfortable carrying out routine procedures according to specified work standards.  The job will involve working to a 4 week rolling rota over 7 days, including some weekends.
