Linn Moor Campus - Job Opportunities (Full/Part-Time)

VSA's Linn Moor Residential School (Peterculter) now has exciting opportunities for full-time and part-time Support Workers to join us at an exciting time as we grow and adapt to provide the best of lives to our Children and Adults in our care.

Linn Moor has a long history of providing specialist residential care and education for children and young adults with autism, related conditions such as social and communication difficulties, and learning disability.  We are committed to promoting the values of respect, dignity, participation and self-determination. This is achieved by the child/young person being at the centre of all we do.  We respect and see each child/young adult as unique and while fully recognising their difficulties, we focus on their rights to have and enjoy an ordinary life.

We are currently looking for the following positions:


As a Support Worker you will work alongside our dedicated staff team where you will help to provide a quality service to meet the needs of our students with additional support needs. An SCQF Level 7 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) and an HNC in Social Care would be beneficial but it is not essential at this stage (although you must be willing to work towards this or the Level 9 Residential Childcare Qualification). Ideally (not essential) you should have some experience of working with children and/or young adults with autism / learning difficulties and have the ability to engage/relate to them through effective communication skills and the ability to deal with complex and challenging behaviour. You must be willing to work flexibly in both care and education settings, recognising that a different skill set is required and appropriate in each to support the child/young person in their physical, psychological and emotional development.

Support Worker- Ruthrieston

Are you passionate about helping us provide the best of care to change the lives for those using our services?  Are you interested in working within close proximity to Aberdeen city centre for an organisation that takes pride in supporting the professional development of its staff?  If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting a Support Worker at our Ruthrieston House facility. Joining our dynamic team, you will provide a professional, caring and effective service to our service users to ensure they receive the best of care.  In return, you will be provided with extensive training opportunities and as an accredited SVQ centre, we can provide support to help gain qualifications. 

Any prior experience would be welcome but is not essential as full on the job training will be provided.  You must however be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) if you do not already hold one.  This post will involve working to a rota include a mixture of early and late shifts.

Support Worker (Waking Nights) - Linn Moor Campus - Peterculter

VSA’s Linn Moor Campus is a unique multi-generational approach to community-based care for individuals with learning disabilities and other additional support needs.

We are currently seeking a Support Worker (Waking Nights) to join our dedicated and enthusiastic staff team at our Linn Moor campus.  You will help to provide a quality service to meet the needs of our students with additional support needs, supporting the night time care that is provided within the residential settings, working on a four on, four off rolling rota.

An SCQF Level 6 (or equivalent) and an HNC in Social Care would be beneficial but it is not essential at this stage (although you must be willing to work towards this or the Level 9 Residential Childcare Qualification). General Assistant- Ruthrieston House

As we seek to deliver on our mission to provide the best of care, VSA requires a dedicated  General Assistants to offer domestic support to ensure our service environments are kept to a high standard of cleanliness. 

Our Ruthrieston House, an adult care home based in Aberdeen city, is currently seeking a General Assistant to join their fantastic staff team. You will provide support and assistance in the kitchen and dining room and carry out a range of housekeeping tasks. You should also possess some basic food preparation skills, a keen eye for detail and be comfortable carrying out routine procedures according to specified work standards.

Business Analyst

VSA are embarking on a transformational digital journey to ensure we continue to be able to provide the best of care for our service users. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic Business Analyst to help us deliver this exciting programme of work.

The Business Analyst will help bridge the gap between IT and the rest of the organisation and ensure we can articulate our needs and the rationale for change, and then help design and describe the solutions that deliver the most value. You will be able to understand business needs and processes across the organisation, applying appropriate analytical methods and techniques to shape and define business solutions. You will document and articulate the impact of proposed solutions on benefits, costs and risks, in order to inform project and business decisions. Furthermore, you will be supporting business transition and helping to establish change.

To be considered, you should have a degree and a professional qualification is desirable. Most importantly, you should have broad awareness of all business functions and proven business analyst experience working on large complex projects. Knowledge of business systems such as Salesforce CRM, HR and Financial packages is desirable but not essential.
