About the Role:

This role will support the efficient and safe running of the staffing provision across the campus as the focal point for scheduling the care and education rota, ensuring appropriate cover is in place to enable us to deliver the best of care. You will have an overview of the entire rota at our Linn Moor Campus and will assume responsibility for the advance scheduling of shifts to ensure that contractual and regulatory requirements are met. You will also be the primary contact for our relief pool of workers at the campus and will work closely with our Recruitment team to ensure that we are suitably resourced.

This will be a busy and fast-paced role where the ability to adapt to changing situations will be essential. You must possess the ability to think logically and will be an effective problem-solver who can respond calmly under pressure. You should be a sound communicator and willing to contribute positively to our fantastic team at Linn Moor.

Driver - Linn Moor Campus (Peterculter)

VSA’s Linn Moor Campus is a unique multi-generational approach to community-based care for individuals with learning disabilities and other additional support needs.  With UK wide recognition for our pioneering work with people with autism, our focus is on the development of meaningful life skills and personal fulfilment for the children and young adults we support.

We are currently seeking a Driver (17.5 hours per week) whose main objective is to transport staff to and from Linn Moor Campus, you will work a mixture of morning and evening shifts.  As well as promoting the safety of passengers you will also be responsible for checking that vehicles are roadworthy at all times. On occasion you may be required to provide cover for other Campus based drivers which could involve transporting pupils and may also be responsible for some basic DIY tasks around the campus.

Support Worker- Broomhill Park

Based in the west end of Aberdeen, Broomhill Park offers 42 flats, including four double flats. We also have a guest flat that can be booked so that family and friends can come to visit. Broomhill has a lovely enclosed courtyard garden that tenants and their guests are encouraged to make use of.  Our dedicated team of Support Workers provide outstanding care and support to the residents and we are currently seeking to add to our team.

You will provide a professional, caring and effective service to those within our care.  In return, you will be provided with extensive training opportunities and as an accredited SVQ centre, we can provide support to help gain qualifications. Working 35 hours per week across a 7 day rota  you will be joining a supportive team who are passionate about positively changing the lives of those within our care.  Prior experience is welcome but consideration will also be given to those looking to join the social care sector, who posses our shared values of empathy and care for others.

Support Worker (Waking Nights) - Adult Service (Rowanlea House)

VSA's Rowanlea House Adult Service, situated on the Linn Moor Campus near Peterculter, provides an intensive housing and support service for young adults with autism that focuses on the development of meaningful life skills and personal fulfilment.  VSA believe that young adults with complex needs should continue learning after they leave formal education. We provide a range of opportunities for the young adults in the service and use an education room at our newly refurbished Easter Anguston farm, where young adults can take part in arts and crafts workshops, log cutting, and furniture renovation among other activities. 

We are currently seeking a Support Worker (Waking Nights) to join our dedicated and enthusiastic staff team within the Adult Service.  You will help to provide a quality service to meet the needs of our service users with additional support needs, supporting the night time care that is provided within the residential settings, working on a four on, four off rolling rota.

It is helpful if you have experience of working with children / adults with autism and complex needs and be confident in working alongside them and as part of a staff team. However this is not essential as we will provide full training and support.

Support Worker (part-Time) Ruthrieston

Are you passionate about helping us provide the best of care to change the lives for those using our services?  Are you interested in working within close proximity to Aberdeen city centre for an organisation that takes pride in supporting the professional development of its staff?  If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting a Part-Time(28 hrs)Support Worker at our Ruthrieston House facility. Joining our dynamic team, you will provide a professional, caring and effective service to our service users to ensure they receive the best of care.  In return, you will be provided with extensive training opportunities and as an accredited SVQ centre, we can provide support to help gain qualifications. 

Any prior experience would be welcome but is not essential as full on the job training will be provided.  You must however be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) if you do not already hold one.  This post will involve working to a rota include a mixture of early and late shifts.

Relief Support Worker - Care at Home

VSA has an exciting opportunity for new team members to join us in our Care at Home Service.   Providing support to individuals in their own home setting.        We are actively looking for enthusiastic, caring and personable candidates to join us working within the Hilton and Torry areas.

This role offers fully flexible working opportunities, with shifts available from 7am and latest shift finishing at 9pm.  Rotas are reviewed on a fortnightly basis, we will be taking the lead from successful candidates on the hours/ days they are available to work.

As this role involves travel mileage or Bus Fares will be reimbursed.
