At Linn Moor we understand the complex relationships that exist in the lives of the children and young people we support who rightly have differing needs and expectations of us. It is important to us that we build and maintain strong relationships with a range of professionals and we engage with our stakeholders in a way that ensures the people living and learning at Linn Moor are given every opportunity to reach their full potential.
We have a keyworker system in both care and education. The keyworker may be the main point of contact for parents and carers and they will ensure that specific needs of the child or young person are met. However, the group and class staff teams as a whole share the responsibility for the children and young people in their care to promote continuity.
We recognise the importance of staff training and the difference skilled staff make to the quality of people’s lives. As an organisation VSA invests heavily in training and staff development.
We also provide training to external organisations and participants in autism and the use of visual communication systems.
We are regulated by and work closely with the Care Inspectorate, Education Scotland and Scottish Social Services Council to ensure that we as a provider meet the requirements of these regulatory bodies.
Please take the time to look at our most recent Education Scotland and Care Inspectorate reports.
