Good luck to our Marathon Runners!

VSA are delighted to once again be represented at the UK’s premier marathons this April - including the London Marathon and for the first time, the Brighton Marathon.

Our eight runners will join thousands of participants across the UK - and further afield - to take on the experience of running 26.2 miles and earn that all important medal!

Not only will our team set out to achieve something incredible, their fundraising in aid of VSA will play a vital part in changing the lives of vulnerable children and adults.

How to follow VSA's Marathon team on Sunday April 7th (Brighton) and Sunday April 21st (London)...

  • Download the official "TCS London Marathon" and "Brighton Marathon" apps for iPhone and Android. Search for our runners within the Tracker function (by either full name or bib number)

We have been able to make a meaningful difference doing voluntary work for VSA at their Easter Anguston Farm & Broomhill locations and have fun in the process", he says. "Taking on the marathon challenge seemed like a good idea for a great cause - I'm looking forward to the post-run euphoria (hopefully!), perhaps with a beer to celebrate!"

"I'm expecting a great atmosphere in Brighton with hopefully loads of people to cheer us on!"

Meet 40 year old Si, who works for Ithaca Energyand is excited to take on the London Marathon!

"I don’t have a running history apart from the Great North Run 6 years ago. Apart from that I would do the odd 5km run - so this is definitely a challenge!"

"Being from Teesside I wasn't familiar with VSA at first but after a bit of research I was amazed by the amount of hard work that goes in to help vulnerable people of Aberdeen. I have since found VSA is an excellent charity and I would love to help/support them in the future.", he explains.

"I'm looking forward to seeing my wife and son at the finish line - hopefully with a cold beer!"

Si has already raised an impressive £1000 for VSA through his fundraising!
