Vulnerable Children and Adults:

Need your help now

lm-lights.PNG

Help us change a life.

Your support and the support of others help VSA and the people who benefit from our services by affording us the opportunity to give vulnerable children and adults in the North East, the skills, opportunities, experiences, and environments they need to realise their dreams and lead more independent and integrated lives.

As we support people from birth to end of life we have a wide range of services or projects you can donate to. If you would like your donation restricted towards a particular area just let us know. It is also really important that we receive unrestricted donations. This enables us to put your donation towards the greatest need for vulnerable people.

We are proud to be able to say that 98p in every pound generated in support of VSA is spent on direct charitable activities. By supporting us, you can help make a real difference and will be changing a child's or adults life.

As a registered Scottish Charity you can find us on OSCR by searching our registration number SC012950. You can do this for any Scottish charity and you will be able to see how much of your donation will go towards charitable work and how much goes towards covering the administration costs of running the charity.

We raise our voluntary income across six core areas:

How you can help?

Philanthropy

Philanthropy

Our organisation was founded through philanthropy back in 1870; two people had the vision that they could transform the lives of the poor and vulnerable by encouraging wealthier people and businesses in the city to come together to help drive social change. You too can have the power to transform lives through social change - a gift that lasts for generations.

"To anyone else considering a challenge like this, the most important aspect is that through your efforts, with support from friends and family, you will help VSA to change lives in Aberdeen”

John Mutch, Director of John Mutch Building

How your donations have an impact

We have been caring for and supporting children and adults for more than 150 years. Today we operate nearly 40 services in communities across Aberdeen, offering a mix of residential care and community-based services. In 2019/20 we helped change the lives of over 20,000 children, young people, families and adults. This was only possible with thanks to your support.

During 2020 your donations enabled us to help vulnerable people who now more than ever need our help as a result of the ongoing coronavirus.

£150

Don't forget to Gift Aid your donation!

Gift Aid is a government initiative that allows donations given to charity to be tax-effective. Gift Aid is not claimed unless we have your permission. You can give your permission by completing our Gift Aid declaration form. Once completed we can claim the tax back on your donation.

This means that a £10 donation will be worth £12.50 and for every £50 gift, we will actually receive £62.50.

For the latest information and guidelines on Gift Aid please visit HMRC https://www.gov.uk/donating-to...

If you're donating online, Gift Aid will be one of the questions we will ask you, however, if you are a UK Tax Payer and you are planning to donate via bank transfer or by sending a cheque please download our gift aid declaration form. Once completed please send with your cheque or send back to us electronically at fundraising@vsa.org.uk
