Counselling Service for Looked After Children
Our counselling service for Looked After Children offers confidential and independent counselling support for all children looked after and accommodated by Aberdeen City Council. The counsellors are experienced professionals with a background in social work and counselling.
Accommodated children are encouraged to refer themselves by text, telephone, a return slip which is on the service information leaflet, or by asking an adult to refer them.
Counselling takes place in the Freetalk Room at Castle Street. Children and young people may need an adult to ensure their safe transport to and from the sessions.
Please note that our Counsellors are members of COSCA. If you have any complaints, please refer to COSCA’s Standards for Complaints Procedures (see the website under Complaints) www.cosca.org.uk or our VSA Guide to paying a compliment, making a comment or complaint about a VSA service Compliment and complaint booklet.pdf
