Meals and Activities
Service users are supported to provide their own breakfast and lunch but are provided with a two course evening meal which they are supported to prepare and cook. Alternative options are available each day and special dietary requirements are also catered for. Service users are fully involved in menu planning.
The evening meal is served at 5.30pm in the communal dining room but service users can choose to eat at other times if they prefer.
Regular activities take place within the service, and residents are encouraged to get involved in the planning and organisation of events. We currently offer:
- Pampering sessions
- Quiz nights
- Movie nights
- Walking group
- Reminiscence sessions
We also support residents to engage with a range of external activities, groups and classes including:
Red Cross visit the service on a monthly basis to provided relaxation therapy.
Some service users attend a weekly craft group which is provided by Reach Out and another is provided by the Healthy Minds Living Group.
Service users are supported to access employment opportunities, voluntary or paid.
Service users are supported to access any further education opportunities they require.
Arrdeir understands the importance of building confidence and we therefore offer a number of day trips throughout the spring and summer months.
