A Guid Noel
Local singing legend and Honorary President of VSA, Fiona Kennedy, is launching ‘A Guid Noel’ a fabulous new festive singing event in aid of leading local charity VSA.
‘A Guid Noel’ will be a wonderful celebration of the Christmas season whilst raising vital funds and awareness for VSA’s mental health services. It’s for one night only, for all the family at St Machar’s Cathedral on Tuesday 11th December at 7.30pm.
Fiona Kennedy said: "I am really delighted to have gathered together a most wonderful group of choirs, singers, musicians, actors and special Guest Readers to celebrate the Christmas and Festive season, but also to highlight the harsh reality that so many people suffer from mental health problems. Singing and music can help so many people."
Jennifer Mitchell, VSA’s Director of External Relations, said: “We’re thrilled to be part of Fiona’s latest event and touched that she has chosen to support our mental health services. As one of the largest mental health providers in Aberdeen, VSA provides residential and outreach services to support people with a wide-range of mental health needs.”
“VSA’s services are more crucial than ever with around one in three people diagnosed each year in Scotland. Thanks to the generous support from Fiona and others we will continue to improve our services and change lives.”
