Founded in 1870, our objective is to support those in the greatest need in Aberdeen. The work of VSA touches the lives of thousands of people in need each year. Working for VSAOur various roles include social work teams, care staff, administration staff, and education staff. The majority of our care staff work in our residential units with a particular client group. We provide help and support for older people, young families facing hardship, people with a history of mental illness, people with learning disabilities, and children or young people with special needs. Staff DevelopmentVSA is an Equal Opportunities employer committed to staff training, and holds Investor in People status. Ongoing training and development is available to staff, opening up new possibilities for staff and ensuring a high standard of care. Care staff are trained to the level of SVQ and HNC qualifications required for the job; training is in-house, provided by VSA’s own SQA accredited Training Team.
