VSA Day - Duthie Park - The Day Aberdeen Stood Still

VSA - Aberdeen's local Social Care Charity are holding there successful annual VSA Day from 10am to 4pm in the Duthie Park on Sunday 4th May 2008.

VSA - Aberdeen's local Social Care Charity are holding there successful annual VSA Day from 10am to 4pm in the Duthie Park on Sunday 4th May 2008. VSA will be filling Duthie Park with loads of activities for all ages - stalls, refreshments, pipe band, belly-dancing workshop, dog obedience and much, much more! Children will also be well catered for with bouncy castles, face-painting and carnival activities. VSA Day will be a great day of fun for all the family to raise awareness and funds for VSA's caring work with individuals and families, young and old in the community.

Not to be missed will be the sensational sponsored Zip Slide where participants are to be travelling over 200 meters at speeds of up to 30mph so if you are 14 years and are a bit of a daredevil (and not to faint hearted!) why not take up the challenge and raise sponsorship to support our work. The minimum sponsorship is £100.00 with a £10.00 registration fee.

VSA also need volunteers on the day to make sure that the organisation of this event runs smoothly. So if you have some spare time on your hands and would like to help us your support would be appreciated.

Fiona Poustie - Head of Communications and Fundraising said "This is a wonderful day out for all the family with activities for all ages. The Zip Slide forms part of our VSA Community Day where all members of the public and families are welcome. Our exciting plans include stalls, Emergency Service Corner, children's and fairground activities and much, much more??"
