VSA Charity Golf Pro-Am Golf Tournament

Local charity VSA (formerly Voluntary Service Aberdeen) are now taking bookings for the 2007 VSA Tartan Pro-Am Golf Tournament, which will take place on Friday 21^st September at Cruden Bay Golf Club, with a fundraising dinner at the Marcliffe at Pitfodels on the previous evening. Energy company BP is the principal sponsor of this prestigious tournament on the SPGA's Tartan Tour.

In 2006, the golf tournament attracted many top professionals playing alongside competitors from 48 local companies, which supported the event by entering a team. VSA are hoping that this year the number of companies entering, and the amount raised at the event, will surpass last year's totals.

The golf dinner will take place on Thursday 20^th September at the Marcliffe at Pitfodels and will be attended by the teams participating in the tournament, their guests and also any other companies looking for a great way to provide hospitality, with good food, camaraderie and an excellent after dinner speaker.

Fiona Poustie, Head of Fundraising at VSA said "Last year's event was a great success, raising more than GBP68,000, thanks to wonderful support from our principal sponsor BP and many other companies in the community. I'd like to encourage all of last year's supporters to come on board again, and also other companies, to ensure another resounding success. We're looking for teams to play golf, donations of prizes, sponsorship of holes and support for the fundraising dinner. The money we raise will enable VSA to continue their valuable work with children in the local community."
