Playgroup Fun with Sponsored 'Bubble Burst' for VSA Week!

21 May 2007

The three and four year olds at the VSA Aberdeen Children's Society Playgroup will be jumping with joy as they tackle a sponsored 'bubble burst' to fundraise during VSA Week!  The bubble burst takes place at 9.30am on Wednesday 23rd May at the Maisie Munro Children's Centre, 18 Richmondhill Place.

With the help of their parents, the children have been filling their sponsor forms over the past few weeks and are now ready to tackle the task of bursting as many bubbles as possible on a floor covered with large bubble wrap.

The playgroup children's sponsorship will join other funds raised during VSA Week, when several events are being held to fundraise for social care charity VSA (formerly Voluntary Service Aberdeen) and raise awareness of its wide range of services to support individuals and families, young and old in the local community.

Playgroup Organiser Louise Leiper said, "Many of VSA's projects are doing something to mark VSA Week and we wanted the children to get involved too.  They'll have a lot of fun trying to burst the bubbles and will only be able to start collecting their sponsorship money after every single one has been burst!"
