'Care' Photographic Exhibition by Richard Simpson

This event will take place in Aberdeen's Marischal College, and will commence on Friday 13th October.

ABERDEEN’S UNSUNG HEROES ‘CARE’ AT PHOTO EXHIBITION

A wonderful Photographic Exhibition showing the work of photographer Richard Simpson will be at the Marischal Museum in Broad Street, Aberdeen, from 13th October 2006.

Entitled ‘Care’, the exhibition explores the complex relationships between people who care and those they care for - which is very much a two way relationship.

Richard’s pictures capture local carers and care workers from across VSA’s projects throughout the city undertaking their caring roles. VSA encourages the public to come along to view the lovely selection of photographs of Aberdeen’s unsung heroes fulfilling their roles supporting people in the community.

The exhibition, kindly being sponsored by Adam & Company, Johnston Carmichael and Passell, is open to the public from 13th October until 22 December 2006, Monday to Friday 10am-5pm and Sunday 2-5pm. The University of Aberdeen regrets that, due to the age of Marischal Museum, it may be difficult for visitors with mobility difficulties to access. It is hoped that in January 2007 the exhibition will be relocated to an area where there will be full disability access.

For further information about the exhibition, please contact Fiona Poustie, Senior Fundraising Officer on 01224 212021.
