Linn Moor School

VSA’s Linn Moor School provides education, support and meaningful activities that meet the needs of each individual child so that they can fulfil their potential.

Linn Moor provides up to 30 residential educational places to young people aged from 5 to 18 years of age. All our students have severe and complex learning difficulties, many demonstrate challenging behaviour and most are further challenged by autism. The school provides individually packaged placements, within a group living setting, for 52 weeks per year. However most students are placed during school terms, with additional respite being provided as required. Linn Moor School is firmly committed to holistic, multi-disciplinary working alongside parents and families.

We aim to provide a safe, secure, and enabling environment in which a child or young person with severe and complex learning difficulties can live, learn and achieve their maximum individual potential. We recognize each student's uniqueness, value and worth, respect dependence as well as promote independence, and aim to optimise the individual's personal growth and experiences, utilising a sensitive, non-aversive and holistic approach.
