Mental Health Carers Project
The Carers Support Project (Mental Health) opened in May 2004 and is based in the Clerkseat Building in Royal Cornhill Hospital. Avril Bruce is the Carers Support Worker and her role is to provide access to appropriate services for Carers. This is to both Carers of patients within the hospital and those in the community. Referrals can come from any source, from professionals and Carers themselves.
Although the post is funded to cover the Aberdeen City area, information will be provided to those outwith the area to enable them to gain the support they need.
