Carers Centre
The VSA Carers Centre, located on Belmont Street, offers advice, information and support on all aspects of caring directly to carers. The Centre is part of the Princess Royal Trust network.
The Carers Centre provides a drop-in, appointment and telephone advice and support service from:
Mon 9am - 4pm
Tues 9am - 4pm
Wed 10am - 4pm
Thurs 9am - 4pm
Fri 9am - 4pm
Appointments are available out with these hours.
A member of staff is always on reception and ready to help. We also offer a home visiting service and have specialist workers to give advice on benefits and welfare rights, support when liaising with statutory services, young carers support and support for families of children with special needs. We also provide a wide variety of therapeutic opportunities specifically for carers, such as Counselling, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Reiki and Art Therapy. We have provided Pampering Days for carers in conjunction with Aberdeen College where carers could spend the day at the college having manicures, hairdo's and a 3 course lunch. These have now become annual events.
If the member of staff is unable to help, then they will refer you to the most appropriate member of staff or an appropriate agency.
